Weight Loss Tips
Losing weight is one of the toughest tasks to take up and complete. Being overweight can cause under-confidence, depression and threat your physical health as well as emotional.
Losing weight has never been easy. You cannot do it overnight and you must keep that in mind before you begin any weight loss program. Not all of us would like or – or can afford to – have liposuction. Here are some steps on how to ease the hard way!
- Set up a diet plan. Decide what is good for you. Green salads and fruit are great options for satisfying your appetite as well as maintaining a healthy body. Avoid greasy meals strictly. You may indulge yourself into a splendid heavy meal as often as once a week. Eat on a smaller plate. This is like giving your weight psychological therapy. And it works.
Include light soups in your diet. These are not only delicious but fulfilling. Avoid a wholesome breakfast, lunch and dinner. Instead, take five to six smaller meals. You may want to skip lunch completely but don’t give up on breakfast.
Steer clear of the deadly white foods. Bread, sugar and rice are high calorie content. Cut down on all that sugar in your tea/coffee. Opt for skimmed milk instead of heavy whole milk with high fat content. Let go of that bag of potato chips and go for cornmeal snacks instead.
Eat slowly. Chew your food well before swallowing it. Only eat when very hungry.
- Drink a glass or two of water before you start your meal. This helps your stomach feel full even with less food inside it. Increase your daily water intake. Water will act like a base and flush out broken fat from your body. Going on a diet can sometimes cause your skin to look dull and water will help you replenish your glow. Go for juices instead of carbonated drinks. Skip sugar in your lemonade. Lemon, oranges, grapefruit and other citrus treats can cut down fat and a regular intake of these will help you through your weight loss journey.
- Move more. Work out. You cannot skip this step. As you lose weight, your body simultaneously requires toning down. Start off with mil exercise; maybe a small set of crunches. Increase the number of crunches per set as you go. Stop sleeping for unnecessarily long periods. Give up on the couch potato syndrome and avoid lazing out in the lounge watching TV. Try using the stairs instead of the elevator. Go for brisk morning walks. Meditate and concentrate on your weight loss. Yoga can do wonders in maintaining a healthy state of mind and body. A fresh, happy mind is likely to control the body more effectively than an unhappy and depressed on. Don’t forget to wish yourself good luck as you go.
